The US dollar’s rally this year raises the question of whether the greenback will be able to maintain its gains or lose momentum again. Analysts at Goldman Sachs believe the USD will hold its strength. “Our analysts forecast the US currency to be at essentially the same level in 12 months versus the likes of the euro, the British pound, and Australia’s dollar,” the research arm of Goldman Sachs wrote in a recent insight.
According to Kamakshya Trivedi, head of global foreign exchange, interest rates, and emerging markets strategy research, the dollar’s strength is due to limited prospects for global macroeconomic divergences and the continued solid growth of the US economy.
