According to the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) latest report, disasters fueled by the climate crisis are already worse than scientists originally predicted. And the negative effects are expected to intensify, even under the widely targeted 1.5°C warming scenario. Emerging markets (EM), in particular, face varying levels of vulnerability and capacity to adapt to the challenges.
A recent analysis by Greenwheel, the sustainability insights partner to London-based investment company Redwheel, identifies the EM countries where there is a need to adapt to climate change, the capacity level and the role investors can take to support the change.
