For investors in China, 2022 was a difficult year. The country's zero-covid policy, a mixed economic outlook, deleveraging in the real estate sector and tensions with Taiwan have weighed on sentiment. Nevertheless we still believe that the long-term investment opportunities in China remain. Inflation is low and policy is accommodative. Moreover, market declines have significantly lowered equity valuations. All this opens up opportunities for active investors.
