In our Investment Talk with Marcel Fritsch, Co-Portfolio Manager of the Bellevue Medtech & Services Fund, we look at the dynamic MedTech sector. While medical technology is often equated with the pharmaceutical industry, Fritsch explains the key differences between the business models and shows which driving factors – beyond demographic change – make MedTech stocks a particularly attractive investment case. In the interview, Fritsch also sheds light on how medical technology and services function in a portfolio, which criteria play a role in selecting MedTech stocks and how the investment process is organised.
