Understanding current market trends in China

Chinese financial markets have been on a rollercoaster for the past year and the pandemic has brought protectionism to the economy. We talked with Patrick Zweifel, Chief Economist at Pictet Asset Management, to understand more about the current trends in China as financial markets are overhauled. Zweifel talks about the political risks of investing in China, the rebound in certain sectors, the status of liberalization in the country and the issuance of local government bonds for market stimulus.
